How does the NMTC marketplace platform work?
An NMTC marketplace platform functions as an intermediary, connecting project sponsors or borrowers with CDEs and New Markets Tax Credit investors.
How can I join the platform?
The joining process consists of answering a few easy questions to ensure your project is a fit for Impact Marketplace and the NMTC Program. If a fit, you will then create an account, submit relevant information about your project, and verify your identity. An Impact Marketplace project manager will then be assigned to your project to walk you through the process.
What kind of information do I need to provide about my project?
To apply for access, you will need to provide information about the project’s location, size, scope, cost, and potential impact on the local community. Once approved, you will need to provide further information (Real Estate/Construction due diligence, financial, capital stack and budget information, renderings/images, etc.) This information will be used to create a “pitch deck” for CDEs and Investors to view.
